Did you know that nearly 20,000 dogs were cared for by the RSPCA in 2022-23? That’s over 52 dogs every day!
Many of these precious pups are victims of cruelty, bred to turn a profit, abused by their owners or abandoned by the humans they loved unconditionally.
Even one dog is too many.
That’s why I'm walking and wagging at Million Paws Walk. I'm on a mission to raise funds in the fight against animal cruelty.

Back after many years!
Monday 11th Mar It must have been over a decade ago that I last participated in the MPW, in fact I reckon it was more like 12-15 years ago!Our sweet Border Collie, Georgie, loved her time doing the walks, I think we did 2 or 3 years together.
Georgie crossed the rainbow bridge at the ripe old age of 16, her health declined rapidly. However, her memory as a family member will live on forever.
While Georgie wasn't a rescue dog, my new pup Maxie is! She's a Kelpie cross, and will have just turned 1 when this year's event is happening. What a great reason to rejoin the MPW in 2024!!
Rescue groups do such an amazing job, sometimes with very little funding and rely on volunteers and generous community members to give these dogs a chance to be part of a family who will love them and care for them as furry companions.
I know Max will love her morning in the city, she loves people, loves sniffing and definitely loves treats!
