Did you know that nearly 20,000 dogs were cared for by the RSPCA in 2022-23? That’s over 52 dogs every day!
Many of these precious pups are victims of cruelty, bred to turn a profit, abused by their owners or abandoned by the humans they loved unconditionally.
Even one dog is too many.
That’s why we’re walking and wagging at Million Paws Walk. We’re on a mission to raise funds in the fight against animal cruelty.

Why we’re walking?
Thursday 22nd Feb As many know, Bella herself is a rescue dog. Bella came to me at 4 months old that had been abused and as a result had a broken leg and a big distrust in humans. Sadly, she is still very wary of humans until she gets to know them and we work hard every time we are not only in public but with the help of some amazing people behind the scenes that help to teach her that no all humans are horrible. A huge part of this is Doggie Dates Sydney, a free and friendly social dog walking group. I manage this group with the help of my amazing volunteer Leaders.Doggie Dates is also an on lead group so it has been an amazing place that Bella can safely socialise and get to know some humans.
While Bella did not come from the RSPCA, they still do amazing work and there are so many dogs and other animals out there that need a second chance.
While myself and many others I know wish we could save them all by giving them homes, most aren’t in a position to do so and so we do the next best thing. Help to raise money and awareness of the organisations out there that do help these animals.
