Did you know that nearly 20,000 dogs were cared for by the RSPCA in 2022-23? That’s over 52 dogs every day!
Many of these precious pups are victims of cruelty, bred to turn a profit, abused by their owners or abandoned by the humans they loved unconditionally.
Even one dog is too many.
That’s why we’re walking and wagging at Million Paws Walk. We’re on a mission to raise funds in the fight against animal cruelty.

Celebrating 30 years
Wednesday 8th May On Sunday 26th May, Zoey and myself along with Ellie, Henry, Aida, Archie and Hugo will be walking in the RSPCA ACT Million Paws Walk. This is actually the 30th year of the MPW and I participated in the first one held back then in Queanbeyan (yes Queanbeyan had a branch of the RSPCA) with my boxer Magnum and my husband's kelpie Coco. Back then we walked at the back of Queanbeyan area behind Spotlight which was not there and there were around 50 walkers, we didn't raise a huge amount of money at the time, but from little things big things grow and look where we are at today, millions of kindhearted dog lovers (and the occasional cat) walking to help raise funds to fight animal cruelty.
